HOW TO REGISTER

For your convenience, we offer several registration options:

REGISTER EARLY FOR CLASSES

Register early so you won’t be disappointed. Some classes often reach the maximum enrollment early. We will keep a wait list.  Also, some classes depend on minimum enrollments. Don’t take a chance or your class may be cancelled.

Use these online registration procedures to sign up for your favorite ECFE classes. 

Step 1: Click on this link that takes you to the online school web store registration. 

Step 2: On the online school web store navigate to the ECFE section under ‘shop’. You can read about the classes and see the dates, times, and choose what you want to register for. 

Step 3: Pick a class. Click ‘Register for this Class in the description. 

Step 4: At this time you will need to 'Log in' to the system. Note: If you have ever registered or paid on-line for anything within the Fergus Falls school district you will use the same log on. (Example: older siblings lunches, community education classes, or preschool tuition) If you have never paid or registered for anything online through the school you will need to create a new log in. You will only have to create a new log in one time ever. So the first time it will take a little longer. *When setting up the log in and account ensure that you add all the people in the household as family members in the household as each child will need to be enrolled individually for classes. (*A log in account can be created anytime during or prior to registration.) 

Step 5: After your new account has been created, or you have logged into an existing account you may continue with the online registration. At this point you may add additional classes, add an additional person to a class, or choose to finish the registration. *When registering for ECFE classes the registration must be made using each child's name.  Forms- a detailed registration question form will come up for you to complete for each child. This will only have to be done ONCE a school year per child. 

Step 6: Finally, go to your shopping cart and checkout. Payment: Payment can be made online at checkout, or you can choose to pay later and you will be billed. 

*PLEASE NOTE: Our listed fees  for ECFE are PER FAMILY. So if you are registering multiple children in a class it will appear that it will charge you for each child. In this case please choose PAY LATER this option will allow us to adjust the balance to the correct family total and then send you a bill. You will still be enrolled in the class unless there was already a waitlist. 

Free and Reduced: No child/family will be turned away for inability to pay. If you are requesting FREE or REDUCED fees please choose PAY LATER at checkout. This will allow us to adjust the balance to the correct total based on eligibility and you will not have to pay at checkout but will still be registered for the class. 


Frequently asked questions about ECFE ONLINE registration 

I am in the school web store and I can only see the course descriptions but it won’t let me register.- Online registration does not open until Sept. 6th  2023 at 7am and then is ongoing after that. Online descriptions will be visible to view on the school web store prior to registration to preview. We are off for the summer and will start classes again in the fall. 

Will I need to create an account?- Yes, You will need to log onto the school web store registration system. If you have ever registered or paid on-line for anything within the Fergus Falls school district you will use the same log on. (Example: older siblings lunches, community education classes, or preschool tuition) If you have never paid or registered for anything online through the school you will need to create a new log in. You will only have to create a log in one time ever. When setting up the log in and account ensure that you add all the people in the household as family members in the household as each child will need to be enrolled individually for classes. *Setting up an account can be done anytime prior to registering.   

Do I register myself (the adult) or the child(ren)?- Ensure you register ALL children that you are signing up for the class. Not the adult. 

A long questionnaire came up do I need to fill it out?- Yes, once per school year you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire/registration form per child. This will only have to be done once and will reduce having to fill out paper copies later. Only questions with a * must be filled in. (The state ID number question will be filled in later by a staff.) 

What if a class I want is full?- We will have a wait list. All classes have a maximum number of children that can participate. If the class fills up the system will let you know you are being put on a wait list. We encourage you to sign up for the wait list as spots do occasionally open up.  If changes in enrollment happen you will be notified by us if you are being put in the class. 

Are your fees per child or per family?- Our listed fees for ECFE are PER FAMILY. So if you are registering multiple children in a class it will appear that it will charge you for each child. You will still be enrolled in the class unless there was already a wait list. 

What if I can’t pay the full amount and want to request free or reduced fees?- Please register for the classes you want and choose PAY LATER at checkout. This will allow us to manually adjust the total and get you an amount that fits your family based on eligibility.  You will still be enrolled in the class unless there was already a wait list. 

I only want to register for a FREE class do I need to sign up?- Yes, even if the class is free we need all children to register so we have a count and have adequate staffing. 

I don’t have access to a computer or online device can I still register?- Yes, you can use one of the other registration methods or come to the Early Childhood Center during regular business hours and use a computer here. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

The District reserves the right to withdraw any course in which registration is insufficient to justify its continuance, at which time any fees paid will be refunded. No fees will be refunded after classes have started. In the event you have to cancel, we can give a full credit voucher or refund only if you notify the Early Childhood Education Office: 218-998-0544, ext. 8900 - at least 48 hours prior to the first class meeting. HOWEVER, If classes are cancelled by us for 2 or more sessions for an ongoing class or a one time event  and can not be rescheduled or made up partial refunds will be made.
